Google Censors Water4Gas.com And Gas Saving Ebooks

Gas PumpsI wonder if Google is as green and carbon friendly as they would like you to think. With their latest move in censoring Water4Gas.com and ebooks and web sites promoting any such product that uses water to give your car better gas mileage, they look rather suspect. Believe it or not I received and email the other day from the powers that be at Adwords letting advertisers know that they will no longer be allowed to run these types of ads in their pay per click network.

What’s the reason given for this business hampering move on Google’s part? The email stated they won’t be allowing this kind of advertising because of customer feedback and “business considerations.” What!? Business considerations? Who is Google in bed with on this one? What about the business considerations of the people trying to make a living selling ebooks and information such as this now that they don’t have access to approximately 25% of the world’s online advertising market?

This is exactly why I have a problem, as do thousands of others, with the way Google operates. They have their tentacles into nearly everything that has anything to do with being “on the grid” and they can just arbitrarily decide they don’t like your product and immediately 25% of all online advertising is no longer available to you. And you have absolutely no recourse. I don’t know what percentage of their business an operation like Water4Gas.com gets from Google Adwords, but I assume it’s a lot since they are a product sold through Clickbank. Any way you look at it, Google’s decision will have a devastating impact on this business and others like it.

As with any product, there will be people who think something like this is an outright scam and others that benefit from it. Products like this one are legitimate and after talking with an engineer friend of mine who has actually built some of these systems, he assures me they do work. I can understand where people may have a problem with Water4Gas.com because what you are actually buying is an ebook showing you how to build one of these systems, not any physical parts as the landing page kind of makes it look. You have to get the parts and assemble the kit yourself, but it does work.

Regardless of what you think of water for gas type products, a decision such as this from the mothership Google should trouble the hell out of you. Now that Google is in the affiliate business with their acquisition of DoubleClick, what product, advertising strategy, ad network or affiliate network is next on their hit list?

In 30 seconds anyone can go to ClickBank.com and find several products that are ripoffs, but look them up by searching with their domain name and you will find plenty of ads on Google. Or look up anything related to making money in real estate, mlm’s, online, trading stocks, whatever, you name it and I’ll bet you can find someone running a scam and advertising it via Adwords. We all must have some discernment in the purchases we make. If you don’t know that by now I have some swampland in Florida I’d like to show you. Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware.

Google has way too much power. When are they going to protect us from themselves?

  1. That’s crazy redic! Unbelievable! I hate how much power and influence they hold. They are the dictators of the net!

  2. Alan –

I am 100% with ya on this one – I have a post ready to be published, but truly, I fear pressing the publish button!

Having seen so many of my own sites completely dropped lately, I fear Google… and shouldnt!

If you visit the G webmaster forums at: http://groups.google.com/group/Google_Webmaster_Help-Indexing/topics its very ironic to see an adwords ad in the lower right corner for Text Link Ads, when every other post by Google tells us to stay away from it! LOL

They (Google) ARE the 800 pound gorilla, we have no other choice, but to deal with.

  3. Their day is coming, they can only last so long at this pace.

  4. That sucks, but if they continue just to follow money patch they can make things worse!

  5. Google has migrated beyond the boudaries of the absurd it appears.
I discovered an article on Treehugger a few days ago on a new car produced by Genepax in Japan that runs completely on water, not a combination of gas/hybrid.
The key to that system, it seems, is its membrane electrode assembly (or MEA), which contains a material that’s capable of breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen through a chemical reaction.

Just do a search on Genepax and you will find tons of site with articles on this new technology.

Hopefully somebody out there has the balls and resources to sueGoggle over their behavior..

  6. Terry,

That’s the same concept behind Water4Gas, but I’m sure not quite as complicated. And I noticed there aren’t any Adwords ads running on the term as well, but that could be copyright issue.

  7. Plain and simple – this is a load of crap.

Google, or “the man” as I like to refer to them is in bed with all the big wig corporate gray-hairs. Playing golf, attending birthday parties and charity functions, and planning even more ways to make themselves richer and us poorer.

This action is pretty easy to decipher. The Google boys were offered compensation to help a “friend” improve their earnings this upcoming quarter. “Friend” meaning some gas company guru or crude oil prince.

It’s the nature of the beast when you’re as big as Google is. If you don’t comply with the twisted rules and back-scratching expectations set out by the established trust fund troopers, you will end up in a wreck. Blackmail, whatever…

When you push that much revenue, you’re limited in regards to what you can do as a company. If it effects your peers who are pushing the same, you have to comply or you go down.

  8. Great post Alan, this is huge news. I actually was just looking at Water4Gas and similar water based systems the other day as I am working on a new blog based around gas saving tips and getting free gas.

Google controls a huge share of most online business and this kind of practice for a legitimate product is nonsense.

  9. @ elijah – on one hand it would be easy to say they’re in bed with “big oil”, but does anyone really think these ebooks represent a grassroots movement that will change the world? I would be absolutely shocked if 1% of the purchasers actually followed through.

That being said, it’s not the publisher’s fault, for if that were true then no self-help books or Internet Marketing courses would be allowed on the web (and I’m talking about good ones – not get rich stuff)

  10. Lol.. thats funny
whats the problem with water cells ? i write often on water cells.

  11. Truly – Its censoring what IT (Google) feels we should and should not see.

Whats next – eBooks about making money online? Websites about using third party tools?

The list goes on and on…

  12. I get 174 MILLION results on Google for ‘water 4 gas’, with their website up at number 1.

    SO, where’s the censorship????????????????

  13. zardiw,

If you read the post a little more closely, you would see that I’m talking about paid ads. Do you see any paid ads when you put in ‘water 4 gas’?

  14. @ Zardiw –

Yes… but what you dont see are any sponsored results on the right side or top of the serp’s.

  15. HAS ANYONE ELSE WHO LOGGED ONTO WEBSITE WATER4GAS.COM. HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS PRINTING OUT THE MAIN PAGE,BECAUSE OF AN ERROR ??

  16. I don’t understand why they’ve banned Water4Gas, but not all of those spammy ringtone offers that lead so many underage kids to rack up massive bills for their parents due to subscriptions they don’t know they’re signing up for.

  17. Stefanie,

    Amen!

  18. Is it really a scam?
if you don’t satisfy you can asked for refund..no more pain

You don’t have to try something to understand that it works.
I’ve seen facts on the news and all over the Internet, that running a car on water IS possible.

Even that I haven’t tried doing it, it doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

Have you searched for other sites? Did you see it?
may be you should see this…. it’s has review many sites like water4gas,runyourcaronwater etc.

You can truly get better mileage…… http://carwaterguide.blogspot.com

  19. Has anyone tried other kit?
