Win A USB Pen And $50 More From Market Leverage

Cool Prizes From Market LeverageI continue to be amazed by Market Leverage and the way they do business. I think a lot of affiliate marketers and businesses alike could learn something from their marketing prowess and their personal touch in building relationships in the blogging and affiliate marketing community.

Just when you though the prizes were good in my latest blog contest, Market Leverage has added a couple of nice bonuses to the prize cache. I received an email yesterday from Dina at ML letting me know that in addition to the Flip Mino video camera (you definitely need one of these if you are a blogger) they’re sponsoring, they will be adding a $50 rewards card and a 2 GB USB pen to the mix.

In addition to the great prizes being offered by Market Leverage, I’m throwing in a Nintendo DS Lite with 2 games and Vat19.com is sending over a USB Missile Launcher and a Banana Bunker making this a pretty decent cache of prizes for the contest.

You can check out the rules of the contest, see pictures of the prizes and enter here. Don’t miss out!

iPod Touch Completes Webmaster Talk Prize Winnings

iPod TouchI fired off a pretty direct email around 11:00 am this morning wanting to know what was up with my iPod Touch, the only prize not so far received from the Webmaster Talk contest that ended on May 13th. It had been 10 days since I last heard from Clickbooth, the company who sponsored the prize. Not more than 2 minutes later, the lady that delivers our mail stopped at our mailbox and when I went to check the mail, there it was. Funny how that happens sometimes. All the prizes in the contest have now been received and accounted for and a big thanks goes out to all the sponsors that I will mention in an upcoming post.

Now, I’ve never even seen an iPod Touch until yesterday evening when I told a friend about the contest winnings and he let me check out his iPod Touch. All I can say is this thing is very cool and I hope to get to play with it a bit more this evening. It’s been a fairly busy day and all I had the chance to do was turn it on and have it tell me to plug it into my computer, which unfortunately I didn’t have time to do.

I’m not normally a techie sort of person and I usually get just what I need as far a gadgets go, but this contest has been great because it’s made me check into things quite a bit more than I normally would. I’ve been messing around with the Nintendo DS Lite, which I will be giving away in an upcoming contest, checking out the Flip camera, reading up on the iPod and of course going through the hassle of trying to get the Macbook Air working and then setting it up and playing around with that.

Who knows, all this cool gadgetry may inspire me to set up another Build A Niche Store based on tech stuff and fun electronic toys. There’s an advantage and opportunity in every learning experience.

Nintedo DS Lite Arrives From RevResponse

Nintendo DS Lite From RevResponseThe prizes are starting to come in from the Webmaster Talk contest and yesterday I received the Nintendo DS Lite from RevResponse. The DS Lite is a pretty cool little game console that you can use an included touch stylus on and has some very good graphics for something as small as it is. It also came bundled with 2 games including the Cartoon Network Racing game and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

I messed around with Cartoon Network Racing yesterday evening and kind of got into it, but I’m not really into games, so more than likely, I will probably give the Nintendo DS Lite away here on Affiliate Confession. I already have a contest going on so it won’t be for a few weeks. I almost hate to give it away, but I’m sure someone else would be more into it than me. This may be a contest where you have to do a little more than just leave a comment.

I also got a nice letter from Karen at RevResponse congratulating me for being one of the winners at the Webmaster Talk contest. Karen also pointed out that RevResponse has a great referral system when affiliates sign up under you, you can earn 20% of their commissions for the first 6 months. If you don’t know about RevResponse it’s a bit different than your traditional affiliate program. Believe it or not, you actually get paid from $2 to $20 per action for giving stuff away for free. Sounds like a pretty easy way to make money, doesn’t it?

I haven’t had time to take a real close look at how things work with RevResponse, but you basically can recommend free resources to your readers such as magazine subscriptions, white papers, podcasts, software trials and more and earn when someone takes an action. You can’t just had these things out on the street and get paid for it, you do have to find quality prospects that would really be interested in the stuff you are offering. However, I have read in some forums of people making more than $1,000 per month through RevResponse, so it definitely sounds like something that’s worth taking a serious look at.

You can get more info on RevResponse here.
